Google’s iOS app now features an incognito mode for private searching and web browsing. The latest update to Google’s flagship app for iOS introduces three new features aimed at providing a faster and more secure searching experience.
Privacy
Google’s main iOS app now includes an incognito mode, enabling users to search without saving their search or browsing history. This mode can be activated from the app’s Settings page, with an added option to use Touch ID to re-enter your browsing session if your screen goes to sleep.
Videos in Search
Google has streamlined the process of searching for and watching YouTube videos within its app. Now, tapping a YouTube link in search results will play the video directly within the app, eliminating the need to switch back and forth between the Google app and the YouTube app.
Stability
Google has made several improvements under the hood to enhance app performance. The updated app is said to be twice as reliable and less likely to crash compared to the earlier version.
The app is available for download or update from the Apple App Store. For more details, check the official changelog.
